What We Do

What We Offer

As writers, editors, and storytellers experienced in nonprofit and corporate communications, we write for national and global audiences on topics including long-term care, family caregiving, U.S. health policy, consumer technology, and shipping and logistics.

We collaborate with our clients as partners.

Our goal is to work with you to achieve your goals, to accept feedback graciously and enthusiastically, and to help you meet your mission. Frequent communications and check-ins are key to ensuring that we are supporting your needs.

We support your goals through written agreement.

As independent contractors, we work with our clients to set project expectations from the start. This includes capturing milestones, deliverables, timelines, and payment terms. Together, we ensure that our partnership starts on the same page.

Example Projects

Research Reports

Red Tape Report Cancer Care

Science communications requires careful attention to detail and the ability to bridge technical expertise with compelling writing styles. Working with the national nonprofit CancerCare, we wrote, edited, and provided communications support for the national report The Insurance Maze: How Cancer Patients Get Lost in the Red Tape of Utilization Management (June 2025). Support included writing the main report, supplemental materials, supporting national media strategy, and managing the design and layout process.

White Papers

Report Cover for the Caregiver Training Services Report

Innovative organizations need ways to showcase their success stories and disseminate best practices to reach new audiences. Working with the National Alliance for Caregiving, we wrote an implementation guide for integrating Caregiver Training Services into models of healthcare delivery in the Medicare program. Capturing insights from subject-matter experts and advisory council leaders, this report offers new insights into industry practice.

Storytelling Workshops

Few strategies are more critical to advocacy and persuasion than the ability to tell one’s own story. Working with a multi-national corporation, we supported a storytelling workshop for people and caregivers living with rare disease.

Our work included creating a custom guidebook, a webinar, and virtual workshop to refine storytelling skills. For each advocate, we also offered individualized talking points and personalized feedback to ensure we elevate their unique voice. Each element of the program was co-developed with our client, to align the workshop’s goals with their long-term vision for the patient advisory council.

Technical Editing

Journal Snapshot

Ready to take your article or report to the next level? Editing can help. We offer technical editing for academic and policy publications, as well as developmental editing and copyediting for a wide range of written materials.

For this peer-reviewed article on telehealth, we provided developmental and copyediting. We then prepared the manuscript for submission to the Journal of Medical Economics, saving the client time as they navigated feedback and revisions from a large panel of subject-matter experts.

Advocacy Toolkits

Patient advocates offer insights that can inform the practice of medicine. Recording those insights through white papers and online content, we’ve supported organizations such as  Links2Equity and The Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders, by writing Important Conversations: A Shared DecisionMaking Toolkit for Medical Professionals and People Living with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH).

Executive Thought-Leadership

Mission-driven executives are busy. One way we can help is by drafting thought-leadership articles and blog posts, such as this piece from Founder Dusty Holcomb of the Arcqus Group on How Core Values Drive Growth in Everything You Do.

Developed through one-on-one interviews with the executive, we work to capture your voice and perspectives for your audience. We also study prior speaking engagements, written material, and others to ensure the written word reflects how you speak about the issues you work in every day.
